Killing Eve indie Sid Gentle has launched a sister company in Bristol headed up by the producer of Apple TV’s Bad Sisters.

Ciara McIlvenny has joined the drama producer to run Sid Wild, which is based in the city’s Bottle Yard Studios.

She will develop projects with Sid Gentle founder Sally Woodward Gentle, managing director Lee Morris and head of development Henrietta Colvin.

McIlvenny has recently worked with the indie as producer of upcoming BBC1/HBO drama series Rain Dogs.

“We had some brilliant West Country crew on Rain Dogs and I’m looking forward to building on those relationships and discovering new talent to help create exciting shows out of Bristol,” she said.

In a statement, Woodward Gentle and Morris said they wanted Sid Wild to have a “significant presence” in the city and deliver “genuine investment outside of London”.

McIlvenny has previously script edited the likes of Channel 5’s All Creatures Great and Small, BBC1’s Baptiste, Netflix’s Selection Day and Sky’s The Smoke.
