UKTV executive Hilary Rosen is to oversee all originals for the broadcaster after being promoted to director of commissioner.

The broadcaster’s commissioning team will all now report to Rosen, who steps up from the dual role of deputy director of commissioning and head of factual/factual entertainment.

The role was recently vacated by Richard Watsham, who stepped up to become chief creative officer, with comedy and entertainment general manager Steve North promoted to chief programming officer.

Rosen joined UKTV in 2013 and has overseeing from Dave hits Taskmaster – which later transferred to Channel 4 – Big Zuu’s Big Eats and Mel Giedroyc: Unforgiveable to W’s Emma Willis: Delivering Babies and Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over.

The former Silver River creative director and Lion Television senior executive producer will continue to report to Watsham, who described her as “an empowering leader”.

He added: “I know she will continue to champion creative freedom, take bold risks and make sure that we are at the front of the pack when it comes to developing the next wave of brilliant talent.”
