Left Bank Pictures is set to forge a new path with the promotion of Siân McWilliams to creative director.
McWilliams has been an executive producer for The Crown indie for three years and the company has been without a creative director since Suzanne Mackie left in 2020 to launch her own indie.
With The Crown in production on its sixth and final series, chief executive Andy Harries has talked of a “renewal” of the scripted indie.
McWilliams’s brief is to develop new products, spot fresh talent and build creative partnerships as well as deepening relationships with broadcasters and streamers.
One project that gives a signal of her direction for the company is upcoming Netflix teen drama The F*** It Bucket, which McWilliams has nurtured with up-and-coming writer Ripley Parker.
McWilliams is also executive producer on Left Bank’s co-pro with Vicky McClure’s BYO Films, ITVX thriller Without Sin; Amazon Prime detective drama Three Pines; and, also for Netflix, action drama Who Is Erin Carter?.
She was previously head of development at Banijay label Wild Mercury and has script edited shows such as BBC1’s Call the Midwife and Channel 4’s Humans.
