The Live Lounge Show producer Strawberry Blond has hired Brown Bob’s head of production to help deliver a growing slate of shows.
Jess Hamilton will run both Strawberry Blond offices in London and Edinburgh, and will oversee the expansion of its in-house post-production facility.
Meanwhile, head of development Tom Benson-Geddes has been upped to creative director and is set to bolster his team with new hires.
Formed in 2017, Strawberry Blond was initially focused on CBBC’s The Playlist, which ran for five years and more than 200 episodes and was notable for its young and up-and-coming production team.
That show came to an end last April, but the indie has built a steady state of shows. It made 50 hours of TV last year, including five new series and two returners.
Its current slate includes two More4 shows with Hugh Dennis - Huge Homes with Hugh Dennis and The Great British Dig, CBBC’s Clipheads and Channel 4’s Strangers on a Plane, a 20-part daytime commission developed by Benson-Geddes.
Meanwhile, Isabella Zoltowski, who has worked with the likes of Hungry Bear and Whizz Kid, joins as a commercial consultant and will be tasked with forging new relationships with international broadcasters and indie partners, and developing strategies across the business.
