Entertainment veteran Mirella Breda is to oversee Lime Pictures’ populist unscripted teams following the recent shake-up at the Dancing with Monsters and Celebs Go Dating indie.
Breda, who recently left Two Rivers Media after four years after the Escape to the Chateau indie closed its entertainment division, becomes chief creative officer at All3Media-owned Lime.
Breda will have oversight of all unscripted output at Lime’s new-look popular factual business, which combines unscripted production and development teams from Lime, Lion TV and Wise Owl Films, and will determine in which of these teams an idea is best placed.
Prior to Two Rivers, Breda had stints at managing director of Endemol label Initial. She has also worked in BBC commissioning, across both entertainment, where she ordered Hat Trick’s reformatted Room 101 and Initial’s Total Wipeout, and factual entertainment, where her credits included Mary Queen of Shops and James May’s Toy Stories.
Lime has also made some internal promotions. Unscripted creative director Rebecca Kenny-Smith becomes unscripted director of programming and Lion head of factual Tom Watt-Smith moves up to creative director of specialist and premium factual.
