Amanda Wasey has swapped Sister for Merman, joining the Bad Sisters indie as head of production.
Wasey had been with Sister for two years, as a production executive on shows including BBC1’s The Split and ITV’s Passenger, and previously spent three decades as a freelancer on dramas including ITV’s Peak Practice and The Bay and Channel 4’s Shameless.
At Merman, she takes over from Rebecca Kerley, who recently became a production executive at Hat Trick Productions.
Merman, run by Sharon Horgan and Clelia Mountford, is currently working on a second series of Horgan’s Bafta-winning Apple TV+ series Bad Sisters.
The indie’s recent shows include Sky’s Dreamland and BBC comedy There She Goes, plus a US pilot of fellow BBC comedy Motherland. It has been working on a second series of Starz’ Shining Vale.
Meanwhile, access co-ordinator Jess Mabel Jones, whose credits include BBC1’s Ralph and Katie and Channel 5’s All Creatures Great and Small, has joined Merman on a one-year contract to work on Bad Sisters.
