Twofour has signed the production executive behind 72 Films’ high-octane entertainment format 007: Road to a Million as head of production.

Karen Hudson joins the indie in the newly-created role as it prepares to make both the UK and US versions of BBC/NBC format Destination X and to accelerate its factual, entertainment and reality formats.

Recent Twofour series I Kissed a Boy (BBC3), The Reluctant Traveller (Apple TV+) and Loaded in Paradise (E4) have all been recommissioned.

Hudson's previous credits include Expectation’s The Grand Tour, Monkey’s Made in Chelsea and Shine’s The Island with Bear Grylls.

Meanwhile, Dan Grey, who executive produced I Kissed a Boy and its upcoming successor I Kissed a Girl as a freelancer, has secured the permanent role of executive producer, reality and entertainment.

Other shows Grey has worked on include Studio Lambert’s The Circle and Lime Pictures’ Celebs Go Dating.

A trio of senior Twofour execs have also landed promotions.

David Clews moves up from creative director to chief creative director, and will oversee documentaries and build streamer relationships., with head of factual entertainment Nic Patten stepping up to creative director.

Meanwhile, director of production Shireen Abbott becomes director of production and operations.
