We are Doc Women has named the 22 women who will receive 12 months of mentoring from established industry figures.
The group, which champions women working in unscripted TV and asks broadcasters and indies to commit to a 50/50 pledge to work towards gender equality in pay and in roles such as director.
The 12 women chosen will meet regularly with their mentors over the next year for career advice and support.
The initiative is the first mentoring scheme launched by the body since it was set up in 2017.
The mentor scheme leaders, producer/director Tara Nolan and senior producer/director Bushra Siddiq, said in a statement:
"With the industry in crisis, we cannot let the work that has pushed towards equality fall behind. Together, we need to make connections, nurture talent and create a resilient community."
