A quartet of former Netflix UK executives have launched a ‘360-degree’ production company that will also encompass distribution and marketing.
In its mission statement, Juno Studios said it will operate as an “end-to-end studio with a collaborative cross-platform approach” and will develop TV series and films.
The company will work with “fresh voices” on a slate of projects.
“Our collective expertise in storytelling runs across development, production, marketing and distribution and we’re excited to bring our entertainment experience to our partners,” it said.
The establishment of Juno Studios has been led by Bec Mortimer (left in main picture), who set up Netflix UK – the streamer’s first international office – and previously held senior roles at Warner Bros, Universal Pictures and eOne.
Former Netflix UK director of features Fiona Lamptey (second from left) will focus on forging partnerships with writers, filmmakers, producers, showrunners and other creatives.
Marketing will be headed by Amber Taylor (second from right), who spent nearly a decade on Netflix UK’s film, series and brand campaigns.
Finally, Vinnie Shergill (right in main picture), who previously headed casting for Netflix EMEA and has also been BBC Studios head of creative diversity, will work with on- and off-screen talent and creatives.
