ITV Studios label Signpost Entertainment is to produce See Hear, the BBC's flagship magazine show for deaf audiences.
The company, which also makes BBC series Robson Green’s Weekend Escapes and TNT Sport’s Deaf Away Days, won the two-year contract in a competitive tender.
Since its launch in 1981, the BBC2 show has been produced by BBC Studios in Bristol.
tProduction now shifts to Signpost's base in Gateshead.
The contract, which was put out to tender in December, is worth £720,000 a year and spans two 12 x 30-minute series and eight hour-long specials.
Signpost Entertainment was originaltly part of Signpost Productions and became a standalone label, housed within ITV Studios' MultiStory Media, in May.
It will continue to collaborate with Signpost Productionst, which makes inserts for The One Show, provides on-screen British Sign Language translations for broadcasters, and runs training through its Signpost Academy.
