Tuesday’s Child has set up a sub-label to create “mischievous, noisy formats” across reality, games, factual and comedy.
Former head of development James Donkin has returned to the company after two years as Expectation’s entertainment development head to run Curious Cat.
It joins Battle in the Box producer Interstellar TV in the Tuesday’s Child stable.
Donkin has developed formats such as BBC1’s The Hit List, ITV’s In With a Shout and Channel 4’s Extraordinary Escapes.
He has also headed development at Renegade Pictures and had staff roles at Primal Media, Twofour and Zodiak, having started on 12 Yard Productions' trainee development scheme after appearing in seven TV gameshows as a contestant.
“I’ve always believed that the best stories come from a place of curiosity and exploration and through Curious Cat we want to push the boundaries and tell those stories in a truly original way, with fresh new formats that captivate the UK and international market,” said Donkin.
“Curious Cat is creatively adventurous, commercially ambitious, and hungry for the next big hit.”
