Zinc Media Group has branched out into entertainment with the launch of a new indie, Electric Violet.
The label is headed by Andrea Hamilton, has closed her established music-oriented indie Modest TV after five years, and has brought across its development slate.
Zinc said Electric Violet will produce “high energy, captivating” entertainment content for global audiences.
A former executive producer of Strictly Come Dancing, The Voice and So You Think You Can Dance, Hamilton has been working with development consultant Matt Tiffin to get Electric Violet up and running at Zinc’s London office.
The launch follow’s Zinc recent purchase of blue-light specialist Raw Cut and the two labels join a primarily factual and fact-ent portfolio that includes Tern TV, Brook Lapping and Red Sauce.
