Fulwell 73 has cut its UK formats team following its merger with US business The SpringHill Company.

Creative directors Rachel Arnold and Jon Green are among the staff leaving the indie, which co-produces Gavin and Stacey and also makes The Kardashians.

It was previously behind James Corden’s US chat format The Late Late Show and its spin-off Carpool Karaoke, which was expanded into a standalone series without Corden [pictured].

Formerly joint creative heads at RDF prior to its closure last year, Arnold and Green joined Fulwell last February to drive international growth and develop ideas for UK broadcasters.

However, Fulwell has confirmed their departure as part of an “evolution” that includes closing the standalone UK format team and a focus on a “consolidated, transatlantic development team that reflects the changing needs of the global media landscape”.

The 50/50 merger with Le Bron James and Maverick Carter’s entertainment and branded consumer goods empire The SpringHill Company was revealed in November. Carter and Fulwell’s Leo Pearlman will be joint chief executives of the combined unscripted global production giant, which has yet to be named.
