South Shore has signed former Fremantle head of talent Victoria Roye as a talent executive.

Roye left Fremantle last month after more than three years with the super-indie to set up her own consultancy.

She said the role at Inside M&S indie South Shore “marks the beginning of many exciting collaborations” and she is already working with the indie to recruit for a variety of roles.

South Shore chief executive Melanie Leach said: “Vic will be working closely with our production teams to identify and secure the best off-screen talent professionals for our upcoming projects.

“With over 15 years experience in fostering diverse and inclusive talent searches, Vic brings true passion to discovering fresh voices and experienced creatives.”

Roye has previously worked as a talent executive for Channel 4, supporting the hire of commissioners in Leeds, Glasgow and Bristol and managing off-screen talent for the broadcaster’s Black to Front diversity scheme, and has also held the same role at BBC Studios.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, she set up TV Talent North to connect producers in the north with indies.
