Freeform Productions, the indie behind Channel 4’s A Place in the Sun, has launched a new label specialising in factual and fact ent formats.

Double FTV is launching with two commissions: Channel 5 four-part bomb disposal ob doc series Bomb Squad: Trigger Point and Channel 4 15-part Jasmine’s Renovation in the Sun. It will also produce items for BBC1’s The One Show.

The latter is a spin-off from A Place in the Sun, which will remain Freeform’s primary focus with Double FTV focusing on original formats.

Double FTV is run by Freeform veteran Michelle Heeley [pictured] who said the label will deliver “high- quality content that entertains, informs, and inspires audiences with double the humour, double the heart, and double the originality”.

Heeley, who has been with Freeform for eight years and previously worked for the likes of ITN Productions, Crackit and CPL, is creative director and executive producer at the new label.
