Ricochet creative chief Damon Pattison is among several staff to have been laid off at the The Repair Shop producer.
As revealed by Deadline, the Skydance-owned company has parted ways with around a third of its staff in recent weeks and now employs 24 people across its Brighton and Glasgow offices.
The layoffs, confirmed by a company spokeswoman, also include Ricochet Scotland head Rob Butterfield, who has been with the indie for more than seven years. Joanna Ball remains as Ricochet managing director.
Pattison joined two years ago from Beyond Productions UK, in which time he secured Quest TV commission Guz Khan’s Custom Cars and picked up the rights to Australian series Muster Dogs.
Ricochet’s other notable shows include long-runners Ben Fogle’s New Lives in the Wild for 5, which has been on air since 2013, and Channel 4's Sun, Sea & Selling Houses, which began in 2017.
One of Warner’s UK indies alongside Wall to Wall and Twenty Twenty, Ricochet now comes under the Skydance banner following the Paramount/Warner Bros merger.
The layoffs are understood to have preceded the completion of that deal and are not linked to wider corporate activity.
