Minnow exec takes Netflix commissioning role

Netflix has hired Minnow Films head of global development Reva Sharma to its newly-established UK documentary series division.

The former BBC News journalist was part of the team behind Minnnow’s Netflix series Bad Boy Billionaires, which focused on the fraud and corruption that brought down a trio of Indian tycoons.

In her new role, she will work alongside Netflix’s two UK directors of original documentary, Kate Townsend and Jonny Taylor.

Netflix is still set to appoint a more senior director for the new division.
