Entertainment and fact ent producer Strawberry Blond is to move one of its series to Scotland after setting up a Glasgow office.
The indie behind CBBC music show The Playlist and More4’s The Great British Dig initially plans to employ three members of staff at the new site and expand as commissions emerge.
Hannah Smith, the series producer of recently-recommissioned The Playlist, will oversee the hub, which joins Strawberry Blonde’s London office and Bristol offshoot Super Best Quality Video Productions, which makes UKTV’s The Island.
Chief executive and founder Steve Wynne said the launch of the site was prompted by the high number of Scottish people working on its productions, and the growing opportunity to pitch to devolved commissioners in the nations and regions.
Smith also oversees The Great British Dig and BBC4’s The Live Lounge Show.
