Pact has named the 30 emerging indies that it will supercharge with two years of training and development.

The ‘Future30’ indies will each get two years’ free Pact membership and a tailored development programme with access to industry experts.

The chosen companies span the UK nations and regions and include London-based comedy start-up Daddy’s Yacht Productions; Bruce Goodison’s Bristol indie Indefinite Films; Lucy Pilkington’s Milk & Honey; disability specialist Born This Way MediaSLNda Productions, a Loughborough-based company co-founded by actor Ashley Walters; former Sky exec Cameron Roach’s Manchester indie Rope Ladder Fiction; London/Manchester youth-oriented LGBTQ+ producer Teen Club; and Belfast’s Walk on Air Films.

Pact launched the scheme in July to mark its 30th anniversary and the announcement of its selection comes as Pact prepares to count the votes for its ’10 Leading Lights’ of the indie sector.

Voting closes on Friday 15 October for the poll, with nominations due in two categories: Disruption, Innovation and Creativity, and Unsung Hero. The winners will be named at Pact’s Indie Xmas Party on 17 December.
