Producer making the jump from NYC to London

Hey TM!

Thanks so much for taking the time to read this :) I'm hoping to get some advice about moving to London to work in film and television. I initially planned on applying for the Tier 1 visa of exceptional talent as my hope is to move to London permanently but was wondering if I would be better off trying to get a Tier 2/5 visa by sending my CV and cover letter or just showing up at the production offices?
