According to historian Mahesh Rangarajan, “over 80,000 tigers…were slaughtered in 50 years from 1875 to 1925. It is possible that this was only a fraction of the numbers actually slain.”
Since then, tigers have been facing different battles of survival, ranging from the light of habitat loss to shrinking tiger corridoors.
Our film ‘For The Stripes’ based in Ranthambhore National Park, explores the human tiger interaction and its shift from a conflict driven scenario to co-existing between both the species with mutual respect over the years. This journey is shown through a deaf and mute painter who became a voice for the tigers.
The narrative develops with art proving to be a medium for conservation, and how it has contributed to the protection of the tigers.
This documentary is going to go through the film festival circuits globally before it goes out for the world. Although, if you wish to see this short film, meet us in the messages. We can figure something out. 🙂
