South Shore has hired Boom creative director Sam Grace to run its Welsh office.
Based in Cardiff, one of Grace’s first chief responsibilities will be to executive produce BBC1’s DIY SOS, a former BBC in-house show that South Shore recently won in a competitive tender.
Part of ITV Studios, South Shore Wales also makes shows including Channel 4’s Worst House on the Street and Aldi’s Next Big Thing and ITV’s Tom Kerridge Cooks Britain.
The move reunites Grace with his former Twofour Wales colleagues Andy Mackenzie and Mel Leach, who run South Shore.
Cardiff-born Grace won a Bafta for Twenty Twenty’s The Choir and Boom’s Big Zuu’s Big Eats and his credits also include The Apprentice, Long Lost Family and Undercover Boss. He has also been a commissioning executive at UKTV.
