Lime reality shows to be rehoused after London exit

All3Media is closing Liverpool indie Lime Pictures’ London base as part of wider efforts to cut costs, with up to 20 jobs set to go.

Lime’s stable of reality shows - The Only Way is Essex, Geordie Shore and Celebs Go Dating – are made through its London office.

The trio of returning shows, as well as Discovery+ series Vinnie Jones in the Country - are now set to transfer to Objective Entertainment, which is run by Neale Simpson and Helen Cooke.

This is a new label, set up within fellow All3Media company Objective Media Group, following the consolidation of labels Betty TV and Triple Brew Media.

Meanwhile, Lion TV will revert to a separate All3Media label after five years being housed within Lime’s London office, while Lime will retain its links with Leeds-based Wise Owl Films

Lime will remain a kids/young adult-focused indie, continuing to produce Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks and series such as Netflix’s Wolf King out of Liverpool.

An All3Media spokesperson told Broadcast that up to 20 positions will be made redundant and efforts will be made to offer affected staff jobs elsewhere in the group.

All3Media is currently looking for new leadership of Lime following last week’s announcement that joint managing directors Kate Little and Claire Poyser are standing down at the end of 2024.
