A trio of execs from recently-closed drama indie Endor Productions have re-emerged at a new UK scripted producer.
Carlo Dusi, who had been Endor’s managing director for two years prior to its closure in June, has launched London-based indie Turning Point.
He has recruited Jennifer McConnell, formerly Endor’s head of development, as Turning Point’s creative director, while Molly Scull, previously Endor’s development assistant, has joined as development executive.
Their development slate includes projects that were in the works at Endor before owner Seven pulled the plug, as well as new Turning Point originations.
Endor was known to be working on BBC1 feature drama When We Dance and an adaptation of Tony Parsons’ novel Your Neighbour’s Wife.
It was also involved with Amazon’s Anansi Boys, though the suspension of three other Neil Gaiman adaptations in the wake of allegations of against the author is likely to throw doubt on the production.
AMC-backed Canadian producer Shaftesbury has taken a minority stake in the new company.
The pairing of Canadian and UK execs aims to position Turning Point as an internationally-focused producer through co-productions.
Christina Jennings, who runs Shaftesbury, previously collaborated with Dusi on three series of the drama series Departure.
Endor was best known for dramas such as Vienna Blood [main picture], State of Play, Restless and Esio Trot.
