JOB ROLE: SENIOR LOCATIONS / FORWARD PLANNING / SEGMENT PRODUCER
April to July (exact dates tbd)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Locations / Forward Planning / Segment Producer to join our team on an exciting, fast-paced reality ensemble cast, show based in London for a US cable network. This is a senior-level role requiring strong leadership, deep industry connections, and the ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing and fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and manage a small team responsible for sourcing and securing multiple daily filming locations across London and surrounding areas.
• lock in high-end venues, restaurants, cafés, boutiques, and other premium locations that align with the show’s aesthetic.
• Coordinate and oversee weekly cast events, ensuring each location fits the creative vision and logistical needs of the production. These events will primarily be in London but may involve travel to other areas.
• Plan and execute potential small cast trips, working within budget, scheduling, and production requirements.
• Navigate permitting and restrictions for filming in London - will be working with production closely on this.
• React quickly and efficiently to schedule changes, securing alternative locations when needed and keeping production moving smoothly. This is going to happen and you must be prepared to pivot.
Requirements:
• Proven experience as a Senior Locations Producer, Forwards Planning Producer, or Segment Producer on a reality or entertainment series preferably with experience on shows like Housewives, Towie, MIC or reality shows that shoot multiple daily scenes.
• Extensive contacts in London’s hospitality, retail, and luxury sectors, with a strong ability to negotiate access to exclusive locations.
• Deep knowledge of London’s filming rules, permits, and location logistics, with experience securing locations in high-profile or restricted areas.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, capable of directing a small team in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the flexibility to pivot quickly in response to changing production needs.
• Budget and contract negotiation experience with location owners, councils, and vendors.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively between production, editorial, and location teams.
