FANTASTIC AP OPPORTUNITY: CHESLEA FLOWER SHOW

BBC Studios is looking for an Assistant Producer to join the busy RHS Chelsea Flower Show team in Bristol. Working on the world’s most famous flower show, you will help deliver coverage of this prestigious event to BBC daytime. The ideal candidate for this exciting opportunity will have an interest in plants and design.

Working closely with the gallery producers and alongside the horticultural APs, primarily you will support the team in producing the 5 hours of daytime content at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show. The Assistant Producer will play a key role in generating ideas, researching and preparing content for creative demonstrations. You will also be expected to support and contribute ideas for other items across the week’s programming, source props for filming and liaise with contributors and the public.

The candidate will also possess excellent organisational skills and an ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. You will have an understanding of constructing magazine show items. Experience of live TV or events would be desirable. It will be necessary to build strong working relationships, both within the team and with external partners, so the candidate must be a good team player and a clear communicator. The candidate must be able to travel, overnight and work on location across the UK. They will also be required to be on location for the duration of the Chelsea event week in May.

The dates for this opportunity are Monday 28th April 2025 to Saturday 24th May 2025. This role is offered on a freelance PAYE contract.
