Casting Producer

Description

JAPANESE-SPEAKING PRODUCER / AP – PREMIUM FACTUAL SERIES

We’re looking for a Japanese-speaking Producer or experienced AP to join the casting team on a premium factual series for a major streamer.

The role will involve helping us research and cast restaurants and chefs in Japan, making initial approaches, conducting research calls and helping the senior editorial team identify the strongest characters and stories for the series.

You’ll need to be fluent in Japanese and English, confident speaking to potential contributors, and able to build relationships quickly. Strong research and editorial instincts are important, as is the ability to get beneath the surface of a story and identify what could make compelling television.

Experience in casting, factual television or contributor-facing roles is highly desirable. Knowledge of the Japanese restaurant or food world would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.

London-based. Short-term contract. Dates TBC.
