At 14, with a desire to tell a story and no knowledge of how to. I assembled what was to become a basic edit suite on my bedroom floor. Hobbled together from three ex-rental video recorders - connected by a tangled home-made loom of cables to transfer the images and sound... from there a career was born.I left school early to study TV & Film Production. I then attended the National Film & Television School to specialise in Post Production.By 21, I was headhunted and tasked with establishing and coordinating the day to day running of a full facilities house and team covering Endemol's post-production output in Scotland - becoming the youngest facility manager in the UK ...and I'm sure I could say the world!My goal however was to be creative, not a manager. With spreadsheets a distant memory I've been creating striking, charming, thoughtful and overall beautiful and bold content for big names, big events and the big broadcasters - both in the UK and internationally.A few years ago I made the brave decision to escape small dark edit suites, that I've called home, and step into the light of production. Not long thereafter I reached the Top 100 Ones To Watch at the Edinburgh TV Festival for my work in Programme Development.To this day, much like I started off... my aim is to seek inventive and inspired solutions to bring moving images and a narrative together - to make others stop, watch and listen to content that matters.Incredibly adaptable - I can write, direct, self-shoot and produce ...of course, I'm also a rather capable Editor!From conception to completion - I can guide the success of a production. A creative thinker with a vast understanding of workflows and requirements needed at each stage of delivery for broadcast. I have the capabilities to not only deliver a project but ensure a team stays as one when the finish line is reached.I am currently with the production company, Scotch! in the role of Development Producer - where I explore new ideas and opportunities of producing exciting content which will captivate an audience.
