AVID savvy. Experienced pulling and cutting multi cam footage, using sync maps and groups, creating block outs and rough cuts for my editors. Confident working remotely
Extensive directing experience including location single and multi cam presenter lead projects, Studio Links, Talking Head Interviews, OB Doc, Comedy scenes, Music and Dance performance, and LIVE Outside Broadcasts
Excellent communication skills. Able to give clear instructions, guidance and feedback, along with a track record of building strong working relationships with production teams from Assistant Editors to Exec Producers.
Experienced negotiating tricky access including Government Departments, high profile talent and even Sex Workers
Knowledge of compliance and OFCOM guidelines with experienced dealing with sensitive subject matters, working from court reports, and telling historical crime stories such as the Soham Murders
Self-starter, problem solver, described as a ‘Safe Pair or Hands’ often brought onto projects such as ‘Project Icon’ needing narrative help, or given tricky cuts to rework on shows like MAFS
Creative thinker, passion for setting the tone and look of a show, with a broad knowledge of music, and a love of archive
