As a DP/cinematographer I am equally at ease working with a team, or as a standalone DoP and field producer.With an ironclad track record of creating visually outstanding, story-lead, natural history sequences and full documentaries, I have produced work for all the major international broadcasters and SVOD channels including BBC, National Geographic, Sky Nature, Animal Planet, Discovery Channel, Smithsonian, and more recently Netflix.My extensive technical knowledge across hardware and software comes as an added bonus on every shoot.Growing up in the wilds of Africa on the shores of Lake Kariba has equipped me with an intimate knowledge of, and insights into, animal behaviour, combined with a clear understanding of the human teams who serve to protect and research them and the environment that sustains them.I believe in forging relationships, with the environment and its inhabitants (both animal and human) which enables me to work in very demanding and challenging wild habitats, whilst navigating local politics to keep productions running smoothly.I often work remotely in sensitive environments on long extended shoots, using new and innovative technology to capture sequences that captivate and enthral audiences.
