As a director and producer Nick has made some truly outstanding, memorable and hugely original programmes. He is skilled and capable making stand-out singular and experimental shows, while being equally confident with formats and series. His enthusiasm and originality mean that he's a great person to be around on shoots and in the cutting room, and he is popular and collaborative with his own teams and also with commissioners and channels. I've been eager to commission his work at Channel 4 and elsewhere, and would gladly do so again.

Nick is an absolutely exceptional producer, director, series producer. I have worked with him since 2002, most recently on an RTS South award winning series for BBC 4 (tx Dec 19). He is unflappable, and pushes himself - and his team - hard, but always in the spirit of motivating collective endeavour. He surmounts production challenges, head on. He is really good in the cutting room, displays brilliant judgement, and has recently added significant self-shooting experience to his repertoire. He gets things done, He is a massive problem solver, never a prima donna, and is very very collegiate. I cannot rate him highly enough. Any project I was involved with that got him on the team wd be a source of massive relief and confidence. He is somebody you should positively go out of your way to employ - you will never regret it.
