I'm a documentary editor with 25 years' experience building longform films from the ground up across biography, investigation, history, sport and music. I edited Hunted: The War Against Gays in Russia, which was Emmy nominated and won the Grierson Award, and Britain's Home Care Scandal, which won a BAFTA Scotland Award.

I work from the timeline as a writer, finding the sequences and relationships that form the spine of a film. Much of my recent work is cut without narration, where interview, archive, music and sound carry the story. In practice I'm part editor, part story producer: I explore the material with the director to find what matters and turn it into choices we can build in the cut.

Recent work includes an authored BBC film for Rogan Productions, Brexit: A Very British Civil War for Norma Percy at Brook Lapping/BBC Two, What's the Monarchy For? with David Dimbleby for The Garden/BBC One, and Paid in Full: The Battle for Payback for BBC/CBC.

I also make branded and editorial films for international clients, and I'm available for corporate and branded work, working remotely from my own Avid suite.

Music is central to how I work. I have scored entire series and feature length films, and my music choices have carried through to broadcast on three major BBC series.
