BAFTA nominee Alan Clayton joined BBC Studios in 2022. He is a Series Editor at the indie's Documentary Unit, leading a team of journalists and filmmakers to produce a slate of 120 Current Affairs, Arts, and special projects for the hugely popular factual magazine series 'The One Show'. He started his broadcast career at Granada Television before moving to the BBC in 2002 working on the regional news programme 'Northwest Tonight' and then subsequently on network shows including 'BBC Real Story with Fiona Bruce', 'Panorama' and 'Liquid Assets'. He was also an Assistant Editor on 'BBC Breakfast' before leaving in 2020 to launch Channel 4's lockdown series 'The Steph Show' and then as studio producer for 'Steph's Packed Lunch' which he was nominated for a BAFTA along with the show's host, Steph McGovern in March 2022.
