I'm a teacher by trade but have also worked as an Operations Manager and Project Manager. Many of the skills I have acquired in teaching and as a Head of Year are transferable.As a Head of Year I managed a year group of 160 students and a staff team of 9. I liaised with staff, students, parents, social services, police and other outside agencies. I managed a budget, planned curriculum and trips, booked accommodation, excursions and other things relating to trips, workshops and speakers. I ordered supplies and managed the resources available to my year group and staff. I managed behavior through sanctions and introducing new incentives. I fostered a welcoming community ethos, ensuring all staff and students in my care felt valued and heard.I am adept at using excel databases, tracking data and using other software through my work. I am experienced at working to deadlines and particularly problem solving. I can adapt my communication style to my particular audience and am very good at building rapport and positive working relationships. I am a fast learner and eager to learn new skills.As schools are closed, I am looking for new opportunities to exercise the skills I already have and am eager to try a new industry. My partner and close friends work in TV and Film as editors, actors, prop/ model makers, camera operators and ADs so I feel close to this industry and have gained knowledge through these relationships.I have a 1st class degree in Law, a PGCE in secondary education, a Masters in Gender Studies and a Level 5 TEFL.
