I worked alongside the Done+Dusted team as a Production Coordinator on the Live TV Broadcast of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.
Based on-site at the Alexander Stadium offices in Birmingham, I worked in an extremely fast-paced bustling office organising, running, and amending a detailed rota for a team of runners, interns, and production assistants. Ensured crew had completed their entry accreditation and managed staff IDs for over 100 crew members across multiple departments, liaising with security and administrative staff, and occasionally accompanying important personnel through the accreditation office process. Took part in opening ceremony rehearsals and ensured timing goals were met. Liaised with local Birmingham kit houses to secure last-minute equipment for VT shoots. Oversaw the re-stocking of the production office and purchased PPE, inc. last-minute health and safety equipment. Issued POs to freelance crew, assisted in credit card reconciliations and logged receipts for multiple users. Assisted in monitoring catering numbers and budget for over 100 crew members. Oversaw general day-to-day activity whilst forecasting issues and problem-solving on the go during preparation and shooting. |
