I’m a passionate story teller with over 15 years of directing experience, committed to creating bold, compelling, surprising, beautiful and innovative content. I love to collaborate within a brilliant group of like minds, manage teams and am equally as happy lone working.

I’ve accumulated an array of UK and international broadcast TV and film making experience, both in the field and in the edit. During my career making many acclaimed documentary films, Obs doc series, factual, entertainment, reality, consumer, crime and children’s programmes for terrestrial TX and global streaming platforms.

I've sourced and successfully worked with all manor of contributors and talent from most walks of life and backgrounds, commonly managing/negotiating delicate access with third parties as a staple. I understand the importance of building the productive relationships so any project can thrive, able to work through invevitable challenges and road blocks resiliently. I’m adept at crafting and delivering compelling character driven narratives, ever conscious of brief and aspiration.

Lateral thinker and problem solver, capable of originating ideas and developing them to fruition. I have a journalistic approach to investigative research, casting, shoot planning and execution. I’m used to the pressure of often filming in extreme or hostile environments all over the world.

I’ve spent as much time in the edit as in the field, honing script writing, paper editing and the art of quickly distilling down narratives from large volumes of material. Whether films are driven by commentary, MIV’s, OTF’s or a blend, I’ll adapt my editorial style to craft the best story possible depending on the subject and creative vision.

With my level of ever developing technical expertise and craft, I can deliver high production values whether its single camera shooting, creating a style for master interviews, Broll/GV’s, rigging mini cams, soundscape, lighting, droning or using the ever expanding range of toys available which can enhance the visual element as desired.

I’m well versed at dealing with the high levels of compliance, legal requirements and safe guarding essential before anything reaches the public domain. Read Less
