My name is Tom Chalkley and I am actively seeking career opportunities within the film and television industry. So Why me? I am qualified, experienced, hard-working, proactive and very easy to work with. But I am also very open to instruction and know that I have a lot to still learn and this is what drives me as I know that in this industry, being someone who listens to direction, uses initiative to problem solve and is positive and friendly is what makes a good team member, and I would love an opportunity to demonstrate this.I have secured work on BBC's Doctor who full time as a location assistant and as an assistant unit manager for the last two series, also undertook full time unit manger/locations assistant roles on vox pictures "dal y mellt" and other various dailies work in props/locations/AD department. I have a 2:1 in Business Management & Film Studies (Oxford Brookes) and developed a keen interest in production during and after my studies, making my own films. I worked for Sunset+Vine productions on the Cricket World Cup as a production runner and This cemented my desire to continue with this career and I am I keen to expand my experience and knowledge across TV and Film productions.I am really passionate about working in the creative industries and the opportunity to collaborate with and learn from my colleagues is what I find most exciting and enjoyable about my experiences of this profession.
