I have substantial experience in researching, logging, costing and licensing, having worked as the primary archive researcher on two observational documentaries. My skills include Adobe Premiere Pro, Avid, Adobe Photoshop, intermediate camera operation. Confident use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office packages. Excellent phone manner with strong organisational skills, working with archive houses in order to find rare and off the shelf archive at low costs. My prior role as an Archive Research at the independent archive house Kinolibrary provided me with sharp eye for detail when sourcing and suggesting archive under pressure. I am able to effectively balance making creative suggestions and problem solving to help build a projects narrative and requests, whilst maintaining strong organisational and interpersonal skills, suited to the day-to-day running of a face-paced office environment. I have a good understand of logging audio-visual material and a good relationship with most UK based Archive Houses.I have a background in Fine Art from The Slade. I also work in collaboration as a freelance artist, my film and archival practice attempts to explore and break down difficult histories embodied within landscapes and language. I have self shot and edited two short films about the violent history of the British countryside; “The Grand Union Canal” which traces the canal's untold colonial history and deconstructs wartime archival footage, and, “The Right to Visibility” a film about the dried wheat fields surrounding Yarl's Wood, made using fragmented text, camera less photographic/film prints and deteriorating tape loops of field recordings.
I have exhibited at LADA DIY, Deptford X, UCL East, Magicme, Mayday Rooms, Rochester Square, Migrants Bureau, Anti-university. https://www.kneed.co.uk/portfolio
