Anybody in the television industry understands how challenging, complex and multifaceted producing large volume daytime TV is. This is undoubtedly the case on Judge Rinder where a Senior Producer needs to have an extraordinary skill set and range. They must be able to triage large volumes of information, determine whether the narrative can be curated into something worth watching and to be able to communicate with the broadest range of people; from those facing social economic adversity to Senior Corporate Compliance Officers. They need to be able to multitask successfully to deal with the complex minutiae of logistics, from adequately preparing litigents for court, to (now more than ever) maintaining the highest level of care imaginable over contributors.

Mark Johnson as the Senior Producer on the programme is without question the best exponent of this skill set. During his time on the programme, from the very beginning, he had not only demonstrated each and every one of these qualities, to the highest conceivable standard, but has shaped, innovated and pushed forward some of the most memorable and important moments on the programme. The series won a Royal Television Society award, in no small part because of his profound contribution. Mark is without question one of the most talented Producers of I have worked with.
