Dedicated and hardworking Junior Researcher with a strong background in biology and scientific research and a keen interest on connecting scientific topics to human interests and stories. I am experienced in researching scientific topics and comfortable searching through primary scientific and academic literature, as well as interacting with the academic community. I am enthusiastic to learn more about media and story production.I have 10 years’ experience in scientific research in an academic setting, having worked on independent research projects in ecology, evolution, and genetics labs at Washington State University, Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, and Harvard University, and completed a PhD in Evolutionary Biology at Harvard. I have built and maintained connections with the scientific community, which has helped in finding and contacting contributors for science podcasts and films I have worked on. I recently completed a MSc in Science Media Production from Imperial College London, during which I made both science and personal interest documentaries, and worked as a Junior Researcher on physics and archaeology television productions.
