Film producer with marketing, brand development and communications experience. Founded and led a social impact film production company. Created and produced the multi- award winning documentary Sisters of the Wilderness https://www.sistersofthewilderness.com which won Best South African Feature Documentary at the Durban International Film Festival in 2018 and qualified for an Oscar consideration. Prior to that I initiated and developed a narrative feature film (working title: Zulu Wilderness: Shadow and Soul), wrote the screenplay and secured initial funding. The film didn’t come to fruition for reasons beyond my control. On these two projects I had direct involvement in both the business and creative elements and had the opportunity to wear many hats besides the producer hat. I performed a range of roles such as researcher, writer, executive producer and impact producer. My career prior to filmmaking was predominantly in marketing, communications, sales, business development and project management. I have excellent verbal and written communications skills, solid organisational capabilities with a sharp attention to detail. I successfully managed large scale projects from initiation to implementation, developed and managed relationships with diverse internal and external stakeholders; and worked collaboratively in a team, as well as on my own initiative.
