I have worked repeatedly with Ian over the years on BBC Arts projects - many of them channel landmarks. He is a brilliant storyteller and has a fabulous directorial eye not to mention a sense of wit often needed in an Arts film. He puts up with tricky situations on a whole variety of fronts and always manages to extract the very best. He is almost always calm and a joy to work with in the edit suite too! I would work with him even more if I could but other people want him too!
