I am a Brighton-based Edit Assistant with over two years of experience. After graduating from Brighton University, I secured a 6-month contract with Chatterbox Media. My role involved Running on shoots, acting as a production assistant, and Edit Assisting. After this, I was snapped up by Ricochet, a Warner Brothers company, which gave me the chance to hone my skills. Here I learned how to use Avid for post-production, conform shows, ingest media, handle in-house and online editor issues, and operate within high security standards. I also learned how to manage our LTO suite, maintain our Nexis servers, and process a show from start to finish. Since then, I have aimed to upskill myself by taking part in Avid training courses with Soho editors and recently taken part in an Edit Assistant to Junior Editor scheme with Screen Skills, hosted by Create Studios. Recently, I have become a freelance Edit Assistant, helping out Ponder Create to deliver their hit show on time. Read Less
