In this episode I clicked my hand bike on and explored some of the cycle tracks around Llandovery. Llandovery is becoming an official cycle friendly town and I spoke to one of the members of Llandovery cycle club to find out more about what that means to the community.

I filmed a Children in Need special shoot at Cwmbran Centre for Young people in August. I spoke to a young female who went off the rails in her early teens. She decided to turn her life around and found an youth worker apprenticeship funded by CIN.
This style of shoot was different to the other films I have made as it was more serious and dealt with personal issues. I had a great day and learnt a lot. I was able to pick up a load of new skills and felt great to be pushed in another direction.

I took a trip to St Dogmaels in West Wales to meet Mandy Walters who owns her own fresh fish business with her husband and son.
Most days Mandy's husband and son fish off the coast catching seabass, crab, lobster and a variety of other fish. I met Mandy at the St Dogmaels Market, where she was selling the freshest catch.
We talked about sustainability which is very important right now.
I then took some seabass as well as some other ingredients to a local restaurant where a chef cooked up a delicious fish dish using what I had.

I went to visit Pontypool, to find out about Japanware. Tin that was coated in a black lacquer and decorated with beautiful Japanese designs. I find social history very interesting, so it was great to be shown around the Pontypool museum and see some pieces of Japanware.

I then drove to Usk, only a few miles from Pontypool, where I met with the whole Weatherman Walking team, including the main presenter, Derek Brockway. Together, we filmed the closing scene of the episode.

The Wye Valley is beautiful, especially in the autumn when the leaves are changing colour.
I've always been fascinated about foraging, but I never know what is safe to eat. Liz Knight, a professional forager, opened my eyes when it comes to eating weeds. We rambled through fields to pick nettles and thistles. Along with a few other field treats, we made a delicious salsa Verde.
This shoot was extremely relaxed and felt very authentic.

I had an amazing canoeing across the highest navigable aqueduct in the world. The Pontcysyllte aqueduct stands 38 meters above the river Dee.
We had to think outside the box on this shoot as the Llangollen canal isn't accessible. Andy Turton, from Ty Nant outdoors was fantastic and came up with a solution to get me onto the water. He then tied two canoes together to ensure we wouldn't capsize and sourced a secure seat for me to sit in.

In the late 1920's Brynmawr hit an economic low. The Quakers set up the 'Brynmawr experiment' to help the unemployed get back into work and pull the community out of its slump. The people of Brynmawr were taught how to build furniture and I went along to check out some of the pieces in Brynmawr museum.

In this episode I visited Snowdonia national park to stargaze in one of Wales' official dark sky reserves.
I talked to Dr Jenni Millard about her astronomy podcast and Dani Robertson who is a dark sky reserve officer.
Unfortunately, the Welsh weather got the better of us and I didn't get to see any stars.
I enjoyed filming PTC in Snowdonia.
It was extremely cold but I soldiered on.

Surfing isn't known for being accessible. However, times are changing. In this episode I met Ben Clifford, who set up the UK's First fully inclusive surf school at Caswell Bay, Gower.
I spoke to Ben about adaptive surfing and interviewed an adaptive surfing champion Llywelyn Williams, before getting the chance to try out adaptive surfing for myself.
There were two surfing techniques to give a shot at. Laying prone on the board and sitting on a specially made board with a seat bolted on top of it.
