I’m a shooting PD with 16 years' experience making peak time documentaries.

Observational documentary – I love to make characterful films that encourage the viewer to see the world differently. Whether filming with remote tribal communities, commercial fishermen, big business owners or monks - I’m good at making contributors feel at ease in front of a camera and getting the very best out of people. The timescales I've had to make films with key contributors has varied from a couple of weeks to over a year and I have been able to maintain strong relationships with them all throughout. Excellent track record in making tricky editorial calls during filming that have elevated the final film. My films to date have all been well received by commissioners, critics and my contributors.

Talent led – I’ve worked with a range of talent from some of the best-known presenters to those getting their first major break; producing premium travel, adventure, food and history docs for BBC & Channel 4. 

Edit producing - I have taken all my PD credits apart from one through the edit. Accomplished in crafting compelling stories, writing scripts and working to tight deadlines.

Camera - I have my own Canon C300 Mkiii camera kit and place a huge importance on the look of my films. I enjoy being creative with the visuals to tell a story or add layers to a scene. Confident lighting my own interviews, using eye-direct interrotron style setups and directing drones.

I'm a loyal, determined and committed employee who has built trusting relationships with the production companies I’ve worked for, often making several programmes in succession with the same ones. I've filmed in some of the most challenging environments in the world – high altitude, on commercial fishing boats and with extremely remote communities. I have a huge amount of experience filming in India, having made three prime time series located there and spent two years of my life in that wonderful country.
