With access to two housing estates in East London, we follow a group of young people living there, trapped by gang wars and the reality of trying to escape, or live well, within the crowded blocks they call home.

In an area where more than a quarter of all crime reported to the police involves violence, and knife crime has risen by more than 27% in a year, we meet the real people behind the headlines and give them a voice.

Taking their stories, in their words, the project uses carefully-picked celebrity mentors and experts to shape the young people’s experiences into a musical performance that the audience can understand. Exposing their hopes and fears, we see what needs to be done to change the course of life on the estate for good.
