I am an 18 year old aspiring filmmaker, director and screenwriter. 

I am currently a Second Year Level 3 TV and Film student at Southessex College (Southend Campus) but will be leaving there in June 2024. Throughout my time at the college, I have learnt a range of skills such as: editing using Adobe Premiere Pro, how to shot list, collaborate with a full cast of actors, vision mixing, lighting, audio and even some camera work, however, I am not confident when using a camera as well as how to write a script and structure it properly. 

I have created two short films during my time at the college, one in September-November 2023 called 'The Picture-Perfect Couple' which is about male domestic violence and one in April-May 2024 called 'The Night You Left' which is about paranoia and the fear of abandonment.  I chose these topics as I feel that they don't get enough representation in the media and that is something that I want to change within my work on film sets, in any role, but one day as a director. 

I have also written 5 out of 6 episodes of my tv series 'too scared to tell' which follows an autistic girl called Karianne as she deals with the change of starting college, but she also has to navigate the world of crime and being involved in a police investigation of a hit and run. This series is something I am keen to bring to screen one day as I want there to be more representation of autism in film and tv. 

I do have cerebral palsy and autism, but this doesn't stop me, it makes me more determined to prove that I can do the things that many people think I can't because of my disabilities, yes I do struggle at times, but I take time out and come back more focused and ready to get the job done. Read Less
