For many years, my passion for Film and Television has really blossomed, so much so that now all I want to do is work in the industry. I find it truly amazing how, in this business, literal worlds can be created, stories which can have huge impacts on people’s lives can be made. It’s always truly fascinated me how films and television shows are made, and now I would love to help and contribute to the teams making these great shows. I have already had a couple non-paid experiences as a runner for small productions, where I’d do anything to aid the production from grabbing booms to working the clapperboard, so have already gained a few skills which could make me a useful team-member. My extensive experience in the hospitality industry whilst in my teens has given me a great range of skills, most notably my interpersonal skills, as all the positions I’ve had have been Front of House, meaning effective communication has been essential for me to succeed professionally. In my own time, have just recently finished the CallTime Ready PA course, which breaks down everything you need to know going into the industry, better preparing me for any roles and responsibilities that may come my way during production.
