I'm a freelance shooting PD and Series Director with a track record of having made about forty documentaries or factual programmes for all the BBC channels, C4, More 4, C5, Discovery and Sky One. They are usually prime time or evening slots either singles or as part of a series. I have worked in a variety of ways, originally coming from an observational background but I've moved into more constructed work including presenters albeit mostly unscripted and still with an obs doc sensibility. I've worked on a wide variety of subjects including medical stories to deep sea fishing, inner city schools to the the ethics of writing a will. I'm at ease with presenters and talent and and can manage all sorts of difficult situations on the ground with access. Although mainly a shooting PD, I also direct crews. I've also made a number of films for charities, corporates, and for artists. When I'm not working on TV productions I make my own indie documentaries which have gone to film festivals worldwide.
