I am an award winning documentary and commercials Producer/Director with a talent for delivering high impact story telling in short form. With a background in anthropology and ethnographic filmmaking I am best known for shooting and cutting human stories in an observational style that take into consideration the nuance of cultural context to a story or characters journey. I strive to capture insightful, authentic and compelling narratives that seek to uncover the truth behind human relationships and behaviour. Visual story telling is my strength, and I always try and capture images with enduring impact. This has been utilised in my commercial work for brands and organisations such as Dove, British Gas, Aldi, and The Health Foundation, Tate, The National Theatre, The Royal Opera House and the Guardian.I have worked with top flight production companies including Lightbox Entertainment, Century Films, Minnow Films, Bare Films, Animal Monday, Rare Day, Pilgrim Films, and Tiger Lily Films making online content, and television (The Guardian, BBC and Channel 4) and commercials.I have over 10 years experience making short form documentary content for a variety of arts organisations, including The National Theatre, The Arts Council of England, The Royal Opera House, RSC, The Tate and The Southbank.I also have over 8 years experience as a freelance ethnographic filmmaker for a variety clients such as The NHS, The RAC, The Money Advice Service and Unicef all through Ipsos Mori Ethnographic, as well as the British Government through Policy Lab.I have a BA HONS 2:1 degree from Oxford University in Archaeology and Anthropology. And I have expert knowledge in these subjects as well as a broad range of Arts including Theatre, Dance, Opera and Classical Music, Art (19th Century, Modern and Contemporary) and Museumology.I am a self shooter with and highly skilled Premier Pro Editor.On December 19th 2010 I was featured in the Observer as one of a crop of daring and innovative young directors working today.
